  • DeepSeek Registration is successful, embarking on the magical journey of DS

    I successfully registered with DeepSeek a few days ago, but due to the Spring Festival holiday filled with many dinners and social engagements, I wasn’t able to update promptly.
    Since I am in Singapore, I registered for an overseas account. The process was very smooth and not as troublesome as I had imagined. The Chinese phone number I prepared in advance wasn’t even needed.

    Anyway, let me walk you through the process. First, go to the official DeepSeek website – www.deepseek.com. If the interface is in Chinese, you can click the “English” button in the top right corner to switch to the English interface, as shown in the screenshot below:

    Click “Start Now” button, and you will be directed to the DeepSeek login/registration page, as shown below:

    Then, click “Sign up” to enter the registration page, as shown below:

    On this registration page, simply fill in your email address, password, and the verification code sent by DeepSeek. It’s very straightforward.

    Later, I tested DeepSeek with the following AMC10 problem:
    “The least common multiple of a positive integer n and 18 is 180, and the greatest common divisor of n and 45 is 15. What is the sum of the digits of n?”

    DeepSeek quickly provided the correct answer – 6. I remember asking the same question to ChatGPT before, but it didn’t give the correct answer.

    In short, compared to other giants in the field, such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini, DeepSeek is not only on par but even surpasses them in performance, excelling in certain specific tasks. Moreover, its open-source nature and relatively user-friendly pricing make it accessible to more developers and researchers, which is its unique competitive advantage.

  • 注册DeepSeek成功，开启DS魔幻之旅

    早在几天前就注册DeepSeek成功了，但因为春节假期很多饭局和应酬没能及时更新。
    因为我在新加坡，所以注册的是海外账户，过程非常丝滑，并没有想象中的那么麻烦，我提前准备的中国手机号也没有用到。

    但是还是把过程讲一下吧，先去到DeepSeek 官方网站 – www.deepseek.com, 如果是英文界面，可以点击右上角 《中文》按钮进入中文界面，截屏如下：

    点击“开始对话”，就会进入DeepSeek 登录/登记 页面， 如下图所示：

    再点击”Sign up” 进入登记页面，如下图所示：

    在这个登记页面，填写电子邮件地址，密码和Deep Seek发的验证码就可以了， 非常简单。

    后来我用下面这道AMC10 题目来让DeepSeek 小试牛刀：

    DeepSeek 很快就给出了正确答案 – 6， 我记的同样的问题我问过ChatGPT, 并没有得到正确答案。
